Ema Luna Lalić is a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Rijeka, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She earned both her BA (2020) and MA (2022) degrees in Philosophy and English Language and Literature from the same institution. Her undergraduate and master's theses focused on pragmatics in the philosophy of language, particularly implicatures and speech acts.

Her doctoral research examines the humanistic value of philosophy in contemporary society from a metaphilosophical perspective. In particular, she investigates the neopragmatism of Richard Rorty and the humanistic conception of philosophy developed by Bernard Williams. Her dissertation aims to demonstrate a novel account of the value of philosophy as a humanistic discipline grounded in human practices and argues that philosophy should not be assimilated to the aims and methods of other disciplines. In addition to metaphilosophy and philosophy of language, her research interests include the philosophy of narrative art, with a particular focus on the philosophy of literature.
