Colloquium, 18th November: Moral Persons & Legal Rights

A morning jurisprudence colloquium on 'Moral Persons & Legal Rights' will take place on 18th November between 9:15 and Noon, in the Aula of Blackfriars, Oxford.
This event is the first of a series, co-sponsored by the Humane Philosophy Project and the journal Politics & Poetics.
This event will comprise:
Dominic Burbidge (Programme for the Foundations of Law & Constitutional Government, Oxford) on 'The trust gap in Europe and its imagined juridical solution'
Paul Yowell (Law fellow, Oriel) on 'Human rights as legal rights?'
Seminar led by editors of Politics & Poetics on 'How should it matter to positive law that we are moral persons?'
