Humane Philosophy and the Idea of the Tragic
This Autumn sees the return of the Politics Law and Literature series organised by the Humane Philosophy Project at the University of Warsaw.
The theme of this year's series is 'Humane Philosophy and the Idea of the Tragic'. Jonathan Price will begin with lectures on contract, polis and person. Przemysław Bursztyka will continue with discussions on the dialectics of self-creation and the tragedy of modernity with reference to Goethe's Faust. The series will conclude with Ferenc Hörcher, Mikołaj Sławkowski-Rode looking at Christianity and Tragedy.
