NGRE Fellow: Igor Živković

Igor Živković is a Research Assistant at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, where he earned both his BA (2024) and MA (2025) degrees in philosophy. After receiving the Best Student Award from the Philosophical Faculty, University of Novi Sad in both 2024 and 2025, he started his PhD studies in philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. His research interests include many different disciplines, ranging from aesthetics, philosophy of technology and mythology to Medieval philosophy, philosophy of culture and comparative history of religions, all of which converge in his doctoral disertation focusing on Western alchemy and archaic thought. Igor’s main intellectual influences are, first and foremost, Mircea Eliade, followed by Ernst Cassirer, Lucien Lévy-Bruhl and Émile Durkheim. His recent publications and research papers include "Jünger’s Concept of Revolution: The Worker and Strategies of Societal Change", "Technology, Enframing, and Enactment: A Critical Reinterpretation of Heidegger’s Philosophy of Technology", and "The Work of Art as Cosmogony: The Case of Renaissance Unfinished Statues".
